The Danubius Fountain (also called the "Albrecht Fountain") was a gift to the city of Vienna from Franz Joseph I, and when it was unveiled in 1869, the allegorical figures of Danubius and Vindobona in the middle were surrounded by 10 more figures in alcoves. It is the work of Johann Meixner. All statues are made of white Carrara marble, they personified the Rivers Theiss, Raab, Enns, Traun, Inn, Save, March, Salzach, Mur and Drau.
